Duties include: Managing budgets; Organizing schedules and routes; Ensuring that vehicles are safe and comply with legal requirements; Keeping drivers informed of their duties; Planning routes and scheduling loads; Booking in deliveries and liaising with clients; Directing transport activities; Monitoring transport costs; Working to reduce the carbon footprint of the organization through carbon friendly transport strategies.
