Overview: A ski instructor teaches individuals new skills and techniques to improve their ability to ski. They also help raise confidence levels of new skiers. Geographers specializing in tourism and regional geography might be most interested in this position. A ski instructor’s most important responsibility is to make sure that their students remain safe while skiing. In order to do this, they must be knowledgeable of the physical environment, as well as any hazards that might occur at a ski resort.
