Overview: Event planners are a type of planner organize and arrange the details for a variety of events. These events could include weddings, nonprofit events, fundraisers, banquets, charity races, of food drives. Most planners meet with clients, plan the scope of the event, inspect venues, coordinate services, monitor event activities, and review bills. The most well-known type of event planners are wedding planners that coordinate celebrations beyond weddings, including anniversaries, reunions, product launches, galas, or award ceremonies. Nonprofit event planners organize events to raise funds for charities or other organizations. Geographers can work well as planners, especially with an understanding of an area’s local geography. This field is expected to grow as demand increases for professional organized meetings and events.
