Arts and Design – Job Summaries

Arts and Design

Employment in arts and design occupations is projected to decline 4 percent from 2019 to 2029, losing about 32,900 jobs. Workers will still be needed to meet the demand for animation and visual effects in video games, movies, television, and on smartphones, as well as to help create visually appealing and effective layouts of websites and other media platforms. However, arts and design workers also are employed in industries that are projected to decline, including publishing, manufacturing, and floral shops. (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, September 2020).
